Music Play for Life

'do-re-mi' The Kodály Way

I can do it...

How lucky are those children
immersed in the
Magical World of Music…
Music that they can understand…
Music that embraces with Love
Music that gently touches at the deepest level of inner self…
Music that transcends...

Teacher Profile

Born in Poland, I studied music at the Frederick Chopin Music School in Warsaw. I majored in Singing and graduated from the Faculty of Singing in 1979.

For a number of years, I worked as a Professional Singer/Performer and then,
twenty-seven years ago, migrated to Australia. I studied with the Kodály Music Education Institute of Australia, obtaining the Australian Kodály Certificate in Music Education, and have been teaching here for the last 15 years.

I taught at the  Institute of Early Childhood at Macquarie University,
the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in Penrith as well as
at the Sydney Conservatorium Open Academy.
For number of years I  was a co-ordinator of  Do-Re-Mi NSW Program. From 2006 -08 I was
the President of KMEIA NSW Brach as well as the Kodály NSW Newsletter editor.
For the last 12 years  I also run classes at my own studio. In the year
2000 SBS television made a bradcast at my studio for the program Fusions.

I see an understanding of the different learning styles that children exhibit
as the key to better communication with children. I am also interested in
understanding and accommodating children's learning difficulties
click here and here to learn more from those who are working tirelessly
to assist children and parents who need help in that area.

In my free time, I write songs and sing....sing....sing....to lift my heart,
in the belief that the voice is such a powerful and unique instrument
and that when it is well tuned, it lifts the spirit
and in harmony with others, heals and brings joy to all....
